COVID-19 - UPDATE : We have re-opened to serve you.

I will cut to the chase….we are excited to let you know that we are now open to providing most of our regular services and are now booking appointments as such. That being said, your health and safety as well as that of our team is our primary concern. We are still following all strict protocols set in place, notably social distancing and heightened protocols for infection control to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

As we reach out to you, or when you call us, we will pre-screen over the phone to evaluate your present medical and dental condition and establish the level of priority of your condition.

We ask you to appreciate that as we have been closed for an extended period and have had to postpone a lot of appointments; please bear with us with accommodating all our patients based on priority of importance.

Our initial focus will be to schedule outstanding emergencies and urgent treatments, as well as treatments that had been left midway as a result of the pandemic.

As much as routine maintenance cleaning visits are important to both you and us, please bear with us as we work you back into our schedule.

For the safety of all, please help us to implement our New Protocols. They will include:

When booking an appointment, we will send you a questionnaire/form that we ask you to fill out and forward back to us.

When you arrive for your appointment and park your vehicle, please call us and we will come out to take your temperature before coming into our office.

In addition to various barriers, we will be wearing masks throughout the office, and for your comfort, we encourage you to bring your own.

We will limit the number of people in our reception area.

We have closed our children’s play area as well as the coffee bar and have removed magazines and any other items that are difficult to clean.

All high contact areas will be disinfected several times per day.

We ask that you wash your hands upon entry into our office.

Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

Accompanying family members will be asked to wait in the car, except for minors or those requiring accommodation, where we may ask you to wait in the reception area. We kindly ask for your understanding in this situation.

We will provide you a 1% Hydrogen Peroxide disinfecting rinse to be swished for 30-60 seconds at the start of every dental procedure.

We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well.

If you arrive for your appointment and a wait becomes necessary, we would encourage you to wait in your vehicle and we will call you in when ready, so as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

We have procured enhanced levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure safety for all, so you may see a different appearance when you are being treated.

Our office has always had an upgraded ventilation and air filtration system to ensure clean air in the office, something we do not see but perhaps take for granted.

We have upgraded to add HEPA filtration and UV light sterilization to the rooms so that we will have surgically clean air throughout the entire office.

Thank you for your support as our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.

Please don’t wait for us to call you, you may call us at anytime to schedule your appointment.

Dentally Yours,

Dr. Cyril Tahtadjian & Staff

Upon entry into the office, we:

  • Perform a risk assessment and screen all patients in advance of the appointment and upon arrival at the clinic. We aim to see patients and ensure at any time in the office there is adequate distancing for all.
  • Disinfect all door handles, counters, and frequently contacted surfaces.
  • Make antibacterial hand rub available.

In our operatories, we:

  • Maintain hand hygiene practices throughout the day and hand washing before putting on and after taking off our PPE (personal protective equipment).
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during the appointment and interactions with patients and their environment, such as gloves, mask, eye protection, and gowns, as required.

Between patient visits, we:

  • Clean, disinfect and sterilize all instruments and equipment.
  • Wipe all operatory surfaces with disinfectant.

We appreciate your support and understanding at this time, and like yourself, we look forward to a quick resolution to this challenging outbreak. Please stay home when possible, monitor your symptoms and maintain social distancing so we can all help in reducing the community spread of COVID-19.
